Enhancing Efficiency in HS2 London Tunnel Project

Maxwell GeoSystems is working with Skanska Costain STRABAG Joint Venture (SCS JV) to implement MissionOS for greater efficiency and automation in HS2’s London Tunnels. MissionOS digitalises Instrumentation & Construction Data Management.

The complex HS2 project involves 21km of underground tunnels. Seven Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs) are in use, with MissionOS providing 24/7 monitoring and early warnings of potential impacts on surrounding infrastructure.

MissionOS tracks the TBMs in real-time, managing data from sensors to ensure safety. Alarms trigger any unexpected movements, enabling quick response and enhancing efficiency and safety throughout the construction process.
